Glorification

The final stage of theosis — the full transformation of the human person in divine glory at the resurrection.

Glorification is the eschatological completion of theosis: the full transformation of the human person — body and soul — in the divine glory. What Christ showed at the Transfiguration, what the saints glimpse in prayer, will be the permanent condition of the deified person at the resurrection. St. Paul's description of the resurrection body — 'raised in glory, raised in power, raised a spiritual body' — points to this total transformation.
