Presbyter

Elder / Priest — the second order of ordained ministry; ordained by the bishop to preside at the Eucharist.

Presbyter (from presbus, elder) is the New Testament and patristic term for the second order of ordained ministry — the priest. In the Orthodox Church the presbyter is ordained by the bishop, receives authority to preside at the Eucharist (with the bishop's authorization through the antimension), to preach, to baptize, to confess, and to administer most sacraments.
