Theophany
A divine appearance — the manifestation of God to human beings; in liturgical use, the feast of Christ's Baptism (January 6).
Theophany (divine appearance) refers broadly to any manifestation of God: the burning bush, the pillar of fire, the vision of Isaiah. In Orthodox liturgical usage it is the name of the feast of Christ's Baptism — because at the Jordan the Holy Trinity was fully revealed. The Great Blessing of Waters at Theophany is one of the most solemn liturgical rites of the year.
