The Life
Alexis Metropolitan of Moscow was a holy hierarch (bishop) of the Orthodox Church, commemorated in the Orthodox calendar. The Church remembers the holy bishops as those who shepherded the people of God in faithfulness to Christ and the apostles, often at great personal cost.
