The Life

Anthony the Roman is venerated as a monastic father of the Orthodox Church, commemorated in the Orthodox calendar. The Church remembers the desert and monastic fathers as those who, through prayer, fasting, and obedience, attained to the vision of God and now intercede for the faithful. A more complete account of this saint's life and teaching will be added soon.
