Baruch

2 And I will direct you into the land which I sware I would give unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and ye shall be lords of it: and I will increase you, and ye shall not be diminished.

3 But ye have provoked him that made you by sacrificing unto devils, and not to God.

4 For ye forgot the everlasting God, that brought you up; and ye grieved Jerusalem, that nursed you.

64 Therefore it is better to serve the Lord our God, than to serve the idols of the Babylonians; for whosoever serveth them shall be punished with death.
