Zoe
Life — in the fullest sense, the divine life that God shares with human beings; distinguished from mere biological life (bios).
Zoe in the New Testament (especially in John) is not merely biological life (bios) but the life of God himself: the divine life, eternal and incorruptible, that the Father has given to the Son, and that the Son came to give to the world (John 10:10). Zoe aionios ('eternal life') is this divine life received now in faith and sacraments, to be possessed fully in the age to come. Theosis is the receiving of zoe.
