The Life
Edward of England is venerated as a passion-bearer of the Orthodox Church, commemorated in the Orthodox calendar. The passion-bearers are those who, like Saints Boris and Gleb, accepted unjust death with Christ-like meekness, even at the hands of family or fellow Christians.
