The Life
Eutyches Disciple of Apostle John is venerated as a hieromartyr (a martyred bishop or priest) of the early Christian or Byzantine Church, commemorated in the Orthodox calendar. The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the Church, and the witness of those who suffered for Christ is preserved by the Orthodox tradition as a living encouragement to all the faithful.
