The Life
Thaddaeus of Edessa was one of the Seventy Apostles sent forth by the Lord, commemorated in the Orthodox calendar. The Seventy were the second wave of apostolic mission after the Twelve, sent to proclaim the Gospel throughout the lands of the early Church.
