Second Coming
See Parousia — the return of Christ at the end of the age; the consummation of all things.
The Second Coming (Deutera Parousia) is the return of Christ in glory to judge the living and the dead and to consummate the Kingdom — already fully defined under Parousia. The Orthodox emphasis: the Second Coming is not primarily a threat but the fulfillment for which the whole creation groans (Romans 8:22). The Church prays 'Come, Lord Jesus' (Revelation 22:20) not in fear but in longing: the Bridegroom is coming, and the Bride has made herself ready.
